"A Clinician's Perspective on Lean: Achieving Excellence in Health Care" is a presentation by Dr. Thomas Schmidt, Executive Consultant with John Black and Associates (JBA), now consulting in Saskatchewan, Canada. Dr. Schmidt shares a physician's perspective of the Lean transformation currently in process in the province to include reflections on the five year journey of JBA's work with Park Nicollet Health Services in Minnesota. Highlights include how clinicians view the power of Lean to improve patient safety, increase patient satisfaction, enhance teamwork, and reduce costs.
