I made this hardware using plastic sequins, metal jump rings, and sewing thread. You could substitute other materials if you don't have some of these items. You could replace the sequin with a circle of paper and poke a hole through the middle. You could also flatten a dab of hot glue. You can make your own jump rings by coiling a piece of wire and cutting it into circles. If you have a chain with circular links, you could use those as well.
