video thumbnail
Author Chris Ernst encourages creating interdependence in order to span boundaries and solve the Earth's most pressing issues. We live in an interdependent world where everything is, or soon will be, connected. Chris' mission is to empower people to collaborate across boundaries to solve problems, innovate and transform. His work has engaged generals and ambassadors in Iraq to the Executive Director of a leading nonprofit in India to the CEO of a disruptive innovation company in Silicon Valley to the founders of the world’s largest philanthropy and the many people who are impacted by their actions. As an active speaker and writer on global issues, his work can be found in leading outlets such as HBR, Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Organizational Dynamics and MIT Sloan Management Review, and in authoring three books, including CCL’s best-seller, Boundary Spanning Leadership: Six Practices for Solving Problems, Driving Innovation, and Transforming Organizations (McGraw-Hill). This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
