As the government celebrates January 24 as National Girl Child Day every year, a 2-day programme of Integrated Communication and Outreach Program is being organised at Government Girl’s Higher Secondary School in Kothi Bagh in Srinagar. It is being organised by the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC) under Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. The programme is held as part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’. The purpose of the programme was to highlight the importance of girl child under the slogan of ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’.
