She was experiencing circulatory issues in her legs, which led to swelling and non-healing wounds. Not sure where to turn, Joan talked with the Maine Medical Center Wound Healing & Hyperbarics program. The team brought her in, heard her concerns, and put together a plan that would get Joan back on her feet. Now, she’s looking forward to many more years at the shop, serving locals and tourists sandwiches made with love, year-round.
