The Big Bang Theory is Finally Introducing Leonard's Dad, and Judd Hirsch Will Play Him

We've seen plenty of Leonard's mom, Beverly Hofstadter, over the past several seasons... but The Big Bang Theory has just now finally cast Leonard's dad!

The Big Bang Theory is finally going to show fans someone they've never seen before: Leonard's dad! The information came via a tweet from the Paley Center, which reads "We'll meet Leanord's dad, who'll be played by Judd Hirsch. Galecki met him at Jim Burrows tribute & asked him to play the role." This is HUGE NEWS! Up to this point, fans have seen PLENTY of Leonard's mom — played by frequent guest star Christine Baranski — but haven't even known his father's first name.
