Epidemic Ethics regional webinar on the Americas (ENG) |
|
The seminar will be the fourth in a new series, spotlighting some of the complex and unique ethical challenges affecting specific regions of the world both during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. It will also address future priorities in specific regions in regard to epidemic and pandemic prevention, preparedness, response and recovery. In this seminar, we will be asking specifically what key lessons have been learnt in the Latin America and Caribbean region as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic? Was this region’s experience of the pandemic unique from other parts of the world such that others can learn from it? Finally, where does the LAC region find itself presently in regard to pandemic prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery? Have key priorities been identified in this area that will be pursued, and what ought to be the priorities for this region going forward?
