Plant-based health professionals presented the first UK Nutrition In Medicine conference at King's College London on the 23 March 2018 to highlight the role of whole food plant-based nutrition in the prevention and reversal of diseases caused by lifestyle.
https://plantbasedhealthprofessionals.com Dr John Allman is a GP partner and trainer in Dublin, Ireland. He studied medicine at Trinity College, Dublin University and graduated in 1996. He obtained MRCPI and MRCP (Edinburgh) before completing GP training in South East England when awarded MRCGP with distinction in 2004. He worked in the NHS as a GP partner in East Sussex until moving back to Ireland in 2010. He was fortunate to join a GP partnership alongside Dr John Kelly who had encouraged a plant-based diet for cancer patients over the decade before his own retirement in 2015. Dr Allman, along with his whole family, adopted a plant-based diet in 2014. He successfully completed the eCornell certificate in plant-based nutrition in 2016. He is a passionate advocate of preventative medicine and the use of lifestyle approaches for both health and disease with particular emphasis on optimum nutrition.
