Hey guys! Welcome to another shared news from home we have the latest updates on the Chris Harrison situation, BUT…

As always….

Since Chris announced he’d be stepping away from his hosting duties we’ve all been trying to figure out WHO will step into his shoes and for how long…
Sources told THR: ABC and Warner Bros. are reacting in real time to the unfolding situation, according to multiple sources, but are aware of looming deadlines and are said to be firming up some plans in the coming days.
After the Final Rose is set to air in one month, which makes filling Harrison's finale chair a top priority.
At this point the top 3 options to replace him appear to be Rachel Lindsay, Tayshia Adams, and JoJo fletcher
Viewers are already throwing their support behind Rachel and Tayshia, who would be obvious choices as the only other Black leads among the franchise who could sit down with James and potentially Kirkconnell, if she wins, to have an authentic conversation about the problematic revelations.
They are also each contracted by the franchise; Lindsay for her Bachelor Nation podcast and Adams for her yearlong contract as the Bachelorette.
JoJo has already stepped into the hosting role once before to fill in for Chris and fans were very happy with her performance!

DISCUSS: who do we hope steps into the role?

Rachel Lindsay was asked by E news how she’d feel about stepping into the role and she said:
"Honestly, I am not even thinking about that," she said. "I think the bigger picture is that there is an issue and Chris is recognizing it, other people are recognizing and I think if my message is to really make change and to really create a level of awareness, then I can't be focused on trying to take somebody else's job. I am just focused on really us getting to a place of unity where we can all be better."
"I don't think anybody knows what's next," Lindsay said. "I think we are all going to be waiting and seeing."

Mj: I see exactly where she’s coming from. She doesn’t want the importance of her message to possibly get lost in translation if she were to fill Chris’s role and she’s not even thinking about that right now. No doubt how great she would be, she’s so engaging and I could see her having such a positive influence on the franchise but I admire her for right now just focusing on the important message.

She also gave her opinion on Chris’ decision to step aside saying:
“He's apologized not once, not twice and he seems to be taking the steps that are necessary to really learn from this whole experience," she said. "I'm just happy for the level of awareness and to sit and see what happens next."
She added "I think he has admitted the way the interview went, to use his own words, 'perpetuated racism,' so I think that he is aware of some of the things that went wrong in that interview and is willing to grow for it."

DISCUSS: On her podcast episode after the interview she wasn’t fully pleased with Chris’ apology so this seems like a positive step…
