As an academician his work has focused on Disaster, Emergency/ Critical Care and Public Health, having lectured in over a dozen countries, authored three text books and more than 100 publications, developing sustainable programs in three continents in collaboration with NGOs, academic institutions and governments. His work has been recognized by the US American Medical Association, Harvard Medical School, Junior Chamber International, and Society for Critical Care Medicine and the American College of Emergency Physicians. Currently serves as Chief of Emergency Medicine at the iconic Kings County Hospital /SUNY Downstate SOM in Brooklyn NY, also collaborating as faculty with the University of Barcelona in Spain and Harvard University. Molded since 1992 in the fire pits of global emergency and disaster care, doctor Amado Alejandro Baez is an influential International Healthcare and Public Health Leader. Born and raised in the Dominican Republic (DR), Alejandro is an UNPHU, Mayo Clinic and Harvard Trained Emergency/ Critical Care Physician.
