TOI-700e is notable because it is located in the star's habitable zone, which is the region where temperatures are just right for liquid water to exist on the surface, making it a potential candidate for hosting life. However, it is also a rocky planet that is about 20% larger than Earth and has an orbit that is tidally locked to its star, meaning one side always faces the star while the other side always faces away.
