Want to know which is the best beach in Goa? This video guide to the best beaches of central Goa is for you. This video explores the beaches of central Goa, by that I mean the beaches below Vasco da Gama and north of Palolem area of the Goa coastline.
The six Goa beaches I have featured in this Travel Guide To Goa Beaches video are (in alphabetical order): Benaulim Beach is a quiet long and beautiful beach Cavelossim Beach is a white sandy beach without much natural shade Colva Beach is on of the oldest beaches in Goa Majorada Beach is one of the more popular beaches in this area of Goa Utorda Beach is one of the quietest beaches this area of Goa Varca Beach is is hidden away and not well signed from the main roads from Goa If you missed it you can see my video of the more accessible beaches of north Goa here: https://youtu.be/fho_llI7GvM To find out which is my favourite beach of central Goa you'll have to watch the video! Let me know in the comments which is your favourite beach. *** Benaulim Beach *** Between Colva beach and Varca beach is this quiet long beautiful stretch of beach called Benaulim beach. Benaulim is a good beach for swimming because there are no rocks and it is quite shallow for a bit with no big rough waves. There are a few shacks and resorts lining Benauli beach. They're not all piled on top of each other you've got a shack and a few sun beds and shades and then a gap. There is also plenty of accommodation lining the road just behind Benaulim beach from simple shacks and guest houses to full aircon rooms in resorts. Benaulim is a really beautiful mix of everything from people walking their cows down to wash and drink, local tourists, and foreign tourists. *** Cavelossim Beach *** A beautiful white sandy beach but without much natural shade Cavelossim has lovely sea for swimming. At the south end of Cavelossim beach is a river which you can take a river cruise on if the ocean going activities are not for you. There are a few shacks, restaurants and cafes, especially on the entrances to the beach, with sunbeds spilling out the front, some with brollies, some without brollies. There are quite a few four and five star hotels dotted around just behind the beach as well as a few cheaper and mid-range hotels. *** Colva Beach *** One of Goa's oldest beaches is Colva beach. Since it's the closest beach to Margao it is a popular escape from dust of the city and relax over the weekends. It's a broad beach, you can swim in some sections which are marked out with lifeguards and flags. As you arrive on the beach you come in a place called the circle which is the main road from Margao where it hits the beach. If you want to do the activities for example dolphin watching or parasailing then organse it here, otherwise take a walk left or right from there to find one of the shacks that sits by itself, they have the sun beds that you can use outside so you can chill on a sunbed order drinks and have a nice day on this beautiful beach. *** Majorada Beach *** One of the more popular beaches in the central area of Goa is Majorada beach. It is a wide beach but it's not a long beach, although there is still lot of space. There's only a handful of places to eat dotted along this very pretty beach. You can swim along Majorada beach with caution, there are lifeguards and areas marked for swimming, and in the center is where everything is based where there's one or two activities available and a few shacks and bars and restaurants for drinks and meals. *** Utorda Beach *** One of the quieter beaches in the central Goa area, is the lovely Utorda beach which has beautiful white squeaky soft sand that gently slopes down into the sea. The sea along Utorda beach is quite good for swimming and it's a good beach to sunbathe. The beach is lined with palm trees and pine trees which provide shade for the handful of places that are dotted along the beach serving meals and snacks and drinks. If you want to stay in the Utorda beach area dotted behind those palm and pine trees there is quite a good selection of accommodation. *** Varca Beach *** Another quieter beach in central Goa with white sand that stretches for two kilometres along the is Varca beach. Access to Varca beach is restricted by a small river running parallel to the beach. To access varca beach there are little bridges either in the resorts on the public paths. Once you get onto Varca beach it's not too developed. There are a handful of shacks with lots of spaces in between them. Varca is a little bit off the beaten track but it does have a bit of everything and hardly anybody visits. The sea at Varca is okay for swimming in, a little bit rough so you'd have to be able to swim to go out in there, but it's still nice. Most of the accommodation at Varca leans towards the high-end, four and five-star resorts and hotels. #goabeach #goabeaches #indiatravelvideos #goabeachtravel #goa #southgoa #northgoa |
