January 2022 was a horrible month for most stock trading indices, but for investors of tech stocks it was a blood bath. NASDAQ, one of the 3 major stock trading indices of US has lost over 17% of its valuation in a single week. Reason? Tech stocks! NASDAQ happens to be the platform that hosts share trades for global giants like Microsoft, Apple, Tesla, Intel, Samsung, Alphabet, Amazon and Meta. It also hosts upcoming startups and regional tech players. Over 40% of NASDAQ is technology companies.

A lot of this conversation was ignited when Netflix stocks crashed last month, mostly because they make entertainment and everyone has opinions about entertainment. What was not talked about enough was that the stock of Microsoft, Tesla and other giants also plummeted that very week.
