Some Post Office staff may get 40% pay cut

The Post Office (SAPO) could eliminate 40% of staff salaries through a reduced work week programme for some staff. It's believed that these plans are in place to save the parastatal from complete collapse. SAPO has incurred a loss of R2.3-billion and owes the Postbank R3.2-billion.
The move to cut staff salaries has been slammed by workers, who accuse the CEO and the executive of being inconsiderate while earning millions of rand.
