#Dewana is for the love and longing for the Divine. The writer, Gani Pagol, through his music has endeavored to transverse into the spiritual world of Divinity. He started writing songs and practiced Qawwali music in Bangladesh. Bangladeshi Qawwali music has a unique sound stamp- while the songs are about devotion, but the way they are sung are celebratory in nature. Thus the Bangladeshi form of Qawwali – Bangla Qawwali, is uplifting and funky.

Fuad Al Muqtadir cranks up the funk in Bangla Qawwali music in Dewana. The ghazal-like singing of Murshidabadi, along with the duet of Tashfee and Shuchona Shely, stitches tradition into a blanket of funky beats, popping bass lines, and everything contemporary. The master of Bangladeshi pop music has created #RealMagic bringing Qawwali and contemporary music together for a sound that is unheard of.
