Having missed the club’s pre-season tour of the United States, Ronaldo was given his first run out under Massimiliano Allegri, taking just eight minutes to hit the back of the net, latching onto Federico Bernardeschi’s ball to fire home. An own goal and a brace from Paulo Dybala put the Serie A champions four up before the break with Claudio Marchisio adding a fifth in the second half. Ronaldo is expected to make his competitive debut for the Bianconeri in their opening match of the new Serie A campaign away to Chievo on Saturday 18 August. The 33-year-old left Real Madrid this summer after scoring a club-record 450 goals in nine seasons in the Spanish capital. |
