This foreign aid bill has been a matter of heated debate for months now, both in the United States and abroad. The question of providing additional assistance to Ukraine, among other key issues, emerged in October, when the White House submitted its request for supplemental national security funding. In recent months, President Biden has emphasized the importance of increasing the support for the war-ravaged Ukraine, calling it a matter of national security and cautioning against territorial concessions to Russia.
