Muslims in Qatar back stadium beer ban at World Cup |

Muslim faithful backed a decision by Qatar on Friday to ban the sale of beer in stadiums just days before the World Cup starts in the Islamic country.
As people gathered for traditional Friday prayers in a mosque in central Doha, several commented on how those visiting the host nation should respect the views and culture of those living there. "We have to follow the rules. It doesn't matter you you agree or you don't agree. But because when I'm traveling to France or when I'm traveling to America, I follow the rules that exist there," said Ahmed Bin Ali, a Tunisian living in Qatar. World Cup organizers said they will ban the sale of all beer with alcohol at the eight stadiums used for the soccer tournament, a person with knowledge of the decision told The Associated Press. The decision comes only two days before games start in Qatar. Non-alcoholic beer will still be available for fans at the 64 matches, the person said. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because organizers have not yet announced the decision. "I wouldn't want with my kids and my family enjoying my time out and being confronted by a drunken, I'm not gonna say a hooligan but drunken and disorderly fans," Mohammad Ali, 50, a doctor from Sheffield, UK, residing in Qatar said. Budweiser's parent company, AB InBev, pays tens of millions of dollars at each World Cup for exclusive rights to sell beer. The company's partnership with FIFA started at the 1986 tournament. When Qatar launched its bid to host the World Cup, the country agreed to respect FIFA's commercial partners, and again when signing contracts after winning the vote in 2010. At the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, the host country was forced to change a law to allow alcohol sales in stadiums Please subscribe, like the video and share wherever you can! **DO NOT copy and re-upload any part of this video anywhere otherwise copyright strikes will be made!
