This video aims to bring the poem "When you are old" of William Butler Yeats, to life. William Butler Yeats (1865-1939) was an Irish poet, playwright, and one of the foremost figures of 20th-century literature.

"When You Are Old" is a poignant and reflective poem, first published in 1892. The poem is addressed to the W.B. Yeats's former lover, and in it, he laments the fact that their relationship did not last. He urges her to reflect on her own life and to remember the love they once shared, even if it has now faded away.

The poem in this video is narrated by Shane Morris (an award winning voice actor). We took care to edit the audio as perfectly as we can. It took us months of learning before we were able to edit the voice like this.

The video was created by Dream Editing. This is a very iterative process and we test out a lot different footage to give you the best viewing experience. We try not to distract from the poem itself.
