Senate Debates Judiciary and Public Safety Bill |

The Senate held a marathon floor session Tuesday, June 29, debating the omnibus judiciary and public safety bill and rejecting several amendments that DFL members proposed to address policing policy.
Senate DFL proposals that failed to win Senate approval included deterring police from stopping drivers for secondary offenses, managing the handling of camera body video, and regulating the servicing of summons during a traffic stop. The final vote on the Senate bill was delayed as members waited for the House version of the bill. |
