Four countries in Africa have prepared responses against planned protests.
These demonstrations are mainly led by opposition leaders in what could test the line between civil liberties and security. Here in South Africa, the Economic Freedom Fighters party led the national shutdown. Kenya, Tunisia and Nigeria may also experience running battles with the police, or peaceful demonstrations to express dissatisfaction with the government in dealing with economic and political problems.
