In a virtual news conference, officials from the City of Ottawa and the Ottawa Police Service (OPS) provide an operational update on the arrival of a truck demonstration in the downtown core of the city. The convoy is travelling from across the country in protest of the federal government’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate. Taking part in the briefing are Peter Sloly, chief of the OPS, Trish Ferguson, acting deputy chief, and Kim Ayotte, general manager of Ottawa’s Emergency and Protective Services.
