A group of children has been arrested over the theft of a Porsche that crashed into a concrete barrier near the Spit, on Sydney's lower north shore.

Police say a 16 year old boy, with no licence, was driving.

His passengers, six girls, the youngest just 12, are also in trouble.

Police are still questioning the teenage driver.
