Mikaela Shiffrin is an US-American two-time Olympic gold medalist. At the age of 18 years and 345 days, Shiffrin won her first Olympic gold medal in Women's Alpine Skiing Slalom at the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi. This historic win made her the youngest slalom champion in Olympic alpine skiing history! Four years later, at the 2018 Olympics in PyeongChang, she claimed her second Olympic gold medal in the giant slalom, and thereby tied Ted Ligety and Andrea Mead Lawrence for the most Olympic gold medals ever won by an American athlete in Alpine Skiing.
