At home with Suzanne Letch
Suzanne is a leading authority on contemporary art in Vietnam and curator of Art Vietnam Salon gallery. She is a very familiar face in Vietnam’s art world and the Hanoi community. She brings to life the power of art in terms of reconciliation after the war. She recounts how she lived her dream of becoming a bridge between Vietnam and the US after she packed her life in Japan and moved to Hanoi. The discussion focuses on fate and chance and how it changed her life and how she found her destiny in Vietnam. One of the first artists she met were the Gang of Five Hồng Việt Dũng, Hà Trí Hiếu, Đặng Xuân Hoà, Trần Lương and Phạm Quang Vinh who were the first group of artists who achieved acclaim following the Doi Moi period. The conversation also talks about current art forms and the way art has developed in Vietnam, while Suzanne still has a great focus on artists she has collaborated with over the past 10 years and has become a bridge from the older way of thinking to a new vision. _______ ► Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/fvheritage ► Website: https://www.fvheritage.org ► Email: hello@fvheritage.org |
