In 1995-96 I remember calling him on his landline at the time & having these long chats with him. It was the early part of my career & he was extremely kind & patient with me. At the time he was making his mark on television. Incidentally I had a blink & miss appearance on one of his early serials ‘Imtihaan’ ! Subsequently he’s become one of the country’s finest writer film makers with his own unique identity & stamp. Luckily the camaraderie still remains between the two of us ( as you can fathom from this interview ) & that in itself is a blessing in an ever changing world.😊 He now co writes, mentors, co produces & presents his kid brother Sajid Alis debut ‘Laila Majnu’ - a modern retelling of the classic lovers tale. This conversation speaks of relationships, music, travel, cinema & facets of the lovers personality that only Imtiaz could interpret. Thanks bro for another amazing chat.
