* Authorities in the Western Cape say the rescue operation on site of the building that collapsed in George is likely to take more than a week.

The Constitutional Court heard arguments until late last night. The commission is appealing the Electoral Court's order that allows the MK party leader Jacob Zuma to remain on the party's election candidates' list. * South Africa has again filed an urgent request with the International Court of Justice for the indication of additional provisional measures against Israel. South Africa would also like the measures that the court had previously prescribed to be modified. The ICJ has confirmed that the latest request states that the previous provisional measures would not fully address the changed circumstances in the war between Israel and Hamas.
