This is very similar to the secret switch on Delta Halo. While we weren't able to activate the switch in this video, it is possible on the PC version of Halo 2 to use some simple mod tools to get over to the switch and activate, but we're pretty sure it does nothing. There used to be conspiracy theories that these switches activate the trigates somehow, but again we're pretty sure we've disproven that theory and solved the entire mystery.
