President William Ruto arrived in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe Friday evening for a two- day State  visit.

The plane carrying the President, First Lady Rachel Ruto and their  entourage touched down at Joshua Nkomo International Airport shortly after 4pm local time.

President Ruto was received by his host President Emmerson Mnangagwa. 

The Head of State received a 21-gun salute and a guard of honour mounted by Zimbabwe Defence Forces at the airport.

The President and the First Lady will be  hosted for a State Dinner by President Mnagangwa at State House, Bulawayo  this evening.

President Ruto will be the Chief Guest at the 64th Zimbabwe  International Trade Fair in Bulawayo on Saturday (tomorrow).

Dr Ruto's tour of Zimbabwe is aimed at bolstering political,  economic and socio-cultural ties between the two countries.
