Iqaluit’s water problems which include a do not consume order put in place by city council, is pushing people down to a local river to fill up anything that will hold water.
Petroleum hydrocarbons were discovered in the water in Nunavut’s capital forcing the 7,000 residents to find alternatives. The city is bringing in 80,000 litres of bottled water to help. Results from testing aren’t due until Monday. • • • APTN National News, our stories told our way.
