video thumbnail
Shaolin Zen-Buddhist-Martial-Medicine cultivation (ChanWuYi) is the traditional essence of Shaolin Culture and is currently held in lineage by the Venerable Monk Shi De Jian. Master Shi De Jian is the senior buddhist disciple of the Venerable Master Shi Su Xi, the late Shaolin Elder who acted for several years as Shaolin Temple Abbot. Master Shi De Jian was also the student of the late Master Shi Xing Xing who passed on all of XinYiBa to Master De Jian.

Master Shi De Jian has dedicated his life to preserving the traditional Shaolin Culture.

From the Buddhist study (Chan), we see the importance of the self study & self- reflection on heart & mind, and effort/discipline in practice. From the movement practice (ChanWu & WuXue) and study we are able to see practical, traditional internal movements that require the self-heart and self-mind cultivation for practicing. From the medicinal concepts (ChanYi), we are able to see the importance of the Buddhist study and the movement study in combination with proper diet - for healing ourselves and further others.

ChanWuYi are the 3 treasures of Shaolin that are inseparable. Chan Buddhism is the fundamental aspect of both the Martial Practice and the Chan Buddhist Medicine Practice (Chan Wu and Chan Yi). The Martial Practice (Chan Wu) is a fundamental aspect of the Chan Buddhist Medicine Practice (Chan Yi), to understand the internal aspects of self and healing.

This video is brought to us with great fortune! Many thanks to Shi De Jian, workers, laypeople, and monks who made it possible.
