The unapologetic nature of the sigma empath keeps narcissists on their toes. It makes them want to beg for a better answer, but they still won't receive one because sigma empaths aren't sorry for it. The unapologetic tone of the sigma's answers is enough to make narcissists back off and think twice in negotiating their way into the sigma's boundaries. Because of the sigma's assertiveness, narcissists avoid expressing their opinions and preferences. This powerlessness catches narcissists off-guard because they've never experienced this with other empaths. Although sigma empaths did not intend to hurt anyone's feelings with a firm "no," they also believe it's not their job to compromise their boundaries for the sake of others.
