This year we are going harder than ever on our investing goals! This video is an introduction to house hacking, which essentially is a great real estate investing strategy for beginners. House hacking allows the real estate investor to live for free or for a very reduced cost, allowing the investor to save money on what is most people's largest monthly expense: rent/mortgage. House hacking allows you to leverage your tenants' money to build equity in your multi-family properties, and you also get great tax benefits in the form of deductions on expenses, interest, taxes, etc.

House hacking is also a great strategy for beginners because there are ways to utilize down payment assistance programs, which are not usually available to investors, as a way to fund your multi-family property.

In this video we also walk-through a $215K duplex and run the numbers on a standard down payment, as well as an FHA down payment. Both situations come with their own advantages, and both offer a great path into real estate investing for beginners.
