The National films award is one of the prestigious awards in our country which is given to our Indian film industry. These awards are given for 2 categories which is Feature Film and Non-feature film. There are Golden Lotus, Silver Lotus Award (Rajat Kamal) and Regional Category awards. The #NationalFilmAwards will be announced in April and Ceremony will be conducted in may every year. The #NationalfilmAwards were announced in New Delhi on August 9th because of the General election were happened in India. The #Nationalfilmaward jury heads Rahul Rawali, AS Kanal and Utpal Bhorpujari were announced the awards. There were 400 films submitted in feature film category and 256 films were submitted in non-feature film category. Hindi films won 14 awardsand Kannada films won 10 awards in the feature film category. Uri: The Surgical Strike won the Golden Lotus for Best Director (Aditya Dhar) and Silver Lotus for Best Actor (Vicky Kaushal). Keerthy Suresh won the Best Actress award for her tremendous performance in Mahanati. The Best feature film award went to Gujarai film Hellaro. There is no big star tamil movie got award out of 180 tamil movies. Baaram tamil movie won Best film in Regional Category which is directed by Priya Krishnamurthy.
