Society says children of incarcerated parents are nobody, but Lassiter maintains there is a moral imperative – on the part of their incarcerated parents and policy makers - to protect, guide and create a new identity for these children.

Lassiter is nationally recognized in the fields of American race relations and violence prevention among African American males.
