Every year, more than 26 million people die because of heart failure. Many of these heart failures are presumably caused by a lack of sound sleep. This groundbreaking biomedical study was conducted by monitoring the patient data of over 400,000 patients in the age group 37 to 73, with a median follow-up of 10 years. It has been published in the reputed journal “Circulation.” This journal is published by the American Heart Association and at present, it has an h-index of 593.
