If The Romans and Ancient Chinese had gone to war, who would have won? |
|
About 2000 years ago, two empires stood out as the most formidable in terms of power, size, and population: the Roman Empire and the Han dynasty of China. But who would have won if these two super powers had somehow gone to war? Now the first challenge for both Empires would be logistics as the two Empires were so far away from one another. The Romans would likely have a slight edge, mainly due to their systematic approaches to road building and supply line integration. However, the battle would likely be fought on the open steppes or deserts of Asia, meaning the more versatile army of the Han dynasty would probably win out. Furthermore, the Romans faced more external threats to their own Empire, meaning they would be able to deploy less troops to this war, meaning the Chinese would likely have won.
