To Ace LIMITLESS Ideas of Governance. | Ms. Rohini Sindhuri | TEDxGlobalAcademy

Few bureaucrats have the courage to stand out from the norm and one such officer is Ms. Rohini Sindhuri, an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Karnataka cadre, 2009 batch. She secured 43rd rank in the Civil Service Examination (UPSC) and has has been working in various departments in her career as an IAS officer. She has displayed her mettle in setting up a system wherever she goes and had launched a drive to provide individual toilets to over 1.02 lakh households during 2014–15.

When she was posted as district collector of Hassan n July, 2017, she successfully and meticulously organised the Mahamastakabhisheka, the ceremony of anointing the 57-foot monolithic statue of Bahubali at Shravanabelagola. She also launched Spandana, an online grievance redressal system which helps in maintaining transparency,

She is popularly known as a task master as well as a bold officer who is unwilling to buckle under pressure but rather believes that positive transformation will slowly but steadily roll-in. Her talk on “To Ace Limiting Belief Public Services with Limitless Ideas of Governance” gives a sneak preview about how ideas of good governance can be implemented to make the society gravitate towards better and corruption free society by erasing the limiting beliefs.
Rohini Sindhuri' is an Indian Administrative Service officer of Karnataka Cadre, from the 2009 batch. She secured 43rd rank in the UPSC exam and has been working in various departments in her career as an IAS ofiicer. Rohini was responsible for computerisation of tax collection at source in Tumkur district of Karnataka. As Chief Executive Officer of Mandya Zilla Parishad, Rohini launched a drive to provide individual toilets to 1.02 lakh households and constructed 1,00,000 individual toilets across the district which made the district No. 1 in the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in the state and 3rd in India. Rohini successfully utilised the Central government's grant of 65 crore for drinking water and by using this grant, Rohini and her team instituted 100 pure drinking water units across the district. She also took a serious view of female foeticide in the district and organised the health department and ASHA workers in reporting such incidents and educating parents against this practice.
