Elon Musk REVEALS How To Buy Tesla Model 3 For Just $14k!

In California, there is a way to get a brand-new Tesla Model 3 for less than $14,000. How can you avail it? Is this even true? Let’s find out in today’s episode!

Tesla has begun informing its Californian customers through email that they can benefit from discounts totaling up to $15,000 when they buy a new EV. The email was sent a few weeks after a customer described how he managed to get a Model 3 for less than $14,000.

Tesla claims in the email that Californian customers may get the base Model 3 for as little as $25,240 before taxes thanks to a combination of federal and state incentives, which is a big discount from the $42,900 retail price.

The Clean Cars 4 All program in California, which offers discounts of up to $9,500, is available to buyers. This is on top of the $7,500 state Clean Vehicle Rebate Project (CVRP) grant and the $7,500 federal tax credit.

To receive these advantages, purchasers must meet certain requirements. For instance, the CVRP stipulates that applicants must make at least $54,360 per year for a household of one, which is equal to 400% of the federal poverty level in 2022. After leasing or buying a car, the application must be submitted within 90 days. Similar to this, the federal EV tax credit merely lowers tax obligations. To fully benefit from the credit, buyers must have tax obligations that total more than $7,500. There is no carryover to the following year for any surplus.

In addition, manufacturers must meet certain criteria in order to be eligible for the program. Given that the majority of the minerals used by the EV manufacturer for its batteries come from China, one of the requirements could reduce the tax credit given to Tesla consumers.

The cheapest Tesla models are now beginning to approach market affordability thanks to a combination of price reductions for electric vehicles this year, larger electric vehicle incentives, and an increase in the average price of a new car in the US.

In actuality, the average price of a new car sold in the US now is $48,000.

Before taking into account incentives, Tesla has two versions of the Model 3 and one version of the Model Y that start below that price.

A Californian took this concept to a whole new level by demonstrating that you can get a Model 3 for just $14,000.

According to Zohar on Twitter, the brand-new Tesla owner explained how he arrived with that price:

The Model 3 Rear-Wheel-Drive has a starting price of $40,240 when ordered in its most basic configuration, although recently, Tesla has been giving discounts on new inventory vehicles.

For $37,120, Zohar discovered one. He also used the $500 discount offered by the referral program on top of all that.

Then, he made use of a remarkable array of benefits:

$7500 from (CVRP) Clean Vehicle Rebate Project.
$4000 from the Electrify Your Ride program from Central Coast Community Energy (3CE).
$4000 from the Monterey Bay Air Resources District – Electric Vehicle Incentive Program.
$7500 from the Federal Tax Credit.

With those incentives and the discounts from Tesla, the effective price of the Model 3 drops to $13,620, a difference of $23,000.
