***There are a few things to remember while working with natural dyes at home. Always use a dedicated set of pots and tools for dyeing, and don’t use any dye tools for eating. Open the window during the process to allow the ventilation of the room***
My journey to a slow life began with many years of living with chronic illness and pain. For a long time I was letting it all hold me back from experiencing joy. One day I started to understand where my energy is and where my capacities are. I gave up on expectations, and focusing on what others were doing or achieving, and i found my own rhythm. My own pace. I let my heart and soul be fed by all the little moments that brought comfort and joy, and lessons learned. Sometimes I think it is the simple things in life that may be the only things i can do, and I embrace that. Life ebbs and flows, and it really can pass us by faster than we think. I have fully immersed myself in savoring each moment, and my life now feels fuller and richer because of that. We had quite the blustery weather over the past couple of days. The garden is littered with branches, but lucky me, it is also littered with lichen. I am going to collect some from the fallen branches as I tidy up the garden, and then i will bring it inside and to simmer on the stove for a few hours to use as dye for a top. #botanicaldye #slowliving #lifeintheforest slow living, slow living cottagecore, slow living aesthetic vlog, simple pleasures, finding joy in the ordinary, cozy cottage, cottagecore, slow living cottage, peaceful vlog, sustainable living, soothing relaxation, calming vlog for stress, cottage life, simple living, simple living vlog, simple slow living, simple life, homemaker, homemaking vlog, simple pleasures, small pleasures, botanical dye, botanical dying, living with chronic illness, chronic pain, finding happiness, lichen dye, |
