Messages of support are flooding in for the Princess of Wales following her announcement yesterday of her cancer diagnosis and early stages of treatment.

Both the UK Prime Minister and prominent figures like Prince Harry have joined in, expressing hopes for her complete recovery.

King Charles, diagnosed with cancer in February, was said to be "proud" of his "beloved" daughter-in-law for her "courage" in speaking about her treatment.

The statement released by Buckingham Palace said the King stayed in close touch with her during these weeks.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle released a short statement, wishing the princess “health and healing”, adding that they hope the family “are able to do so privately and in peace."
