”Steps Ahead in Global Danger” The International Symposium for Peace 2020 “The Road to Nuclear Weapons Abolition,” hosted by the Nagasaki city government, The Asahi Shimbun and other organizations, will be held at the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum on Aug. 1, 2020. The free live streaming of the event from Nagasaki will start from 10:00 a.m., Japan standard time, or 1:00 a.m. GMT. Panel members from the United States will take part through a video conferencing system. In this year of 2020, the Doomsday clock was revised to its worst level of 100 seconds to the end of the world. While we face a critical danger amid the novel coronavirus pandemic, we hope the panelists in the symposium will discuss how we can evade the destruction of mankind and achieve a world without nuclear weapons.
