In the video game "The Last of Us," there are two main types of infected individuals: the infected and the clickers.

Infected: These are people who have been infected with a fungal parasite known as Cordyceps, which has taken over their bodies and altered their behavior. They are still human, but have become aggressive and dangerous. They are often found in groups and will attack anyone who comes too close.

Clickers: Clickers are a more advanced stage of the infected. The fungus has grown out of their heads, leaving them blind and forcing them to navigate through echolocation (making clicking sounds). Clickers are much more dangerous than the infected, as they have a higher level of aggression and a more formidable attack.

There are also a few other variants of the infected in the game, such as bloaters, stalkers, and runners, but the infected and clickers are the most common and well-known.
