BBC NEWS 'Midlands Today' FEATURE 📺
On Thursday 26th May in the morning and evening @bbc_midlands 'Midlands Today' programmes featured some of our Young People as they talked about their Mental, Emotional Wellbeing and Basketball Journey with us. Funded through the @coventry2021 'Community Connectors' programme and in partnership with Coventry and Warwickshire Mind, our Founder Kieran Joseph and the Guardian Ballers Team embarked on a journey of workshops and filming within Schools and in the Local Communities where the Young People live to capture their 'Life Stories' in a mini-documentary film. The best dimension of this BBC feature is that every young people spoke about THEIR EXPERIENCE (without preparation, prompt or a script). 🗣 Please join us in applauding them for being so brave to share their thoughts with the Nation! 👏 THIS IS WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO. 🏀✌️🌎 #BallBeBetter #guardianballersuk A special thanks to @bengodfreymtd @bbc_midlands for engaging in a young person and organisation-centred process where co-creation was demonstrated in your approach. 🙇🏽♂️🤝 Thanks to @officialwisemancoventry for hosting this impact-capturing session. Thank you to every person and organisation that has been a part of our journey so far.
