On Thursday, October 27 at 6:14 p.m. PT, about 10 minutes after sunset, SpaceX launched 53 Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 4E (SLC-4E) at Vandenberg Space Force Base in Lompoc, California. This video was recorded from directly behind the Hollywood Sign in Los Angeles, CA at Mt. Lee Peak. This video of the launch was captured throughout almost the entire 2nd stage burn. The landing burn of the first stage was also captured near the end, but before a brief 360 degree rotation, showing most of Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley.
This was the eighth launch and landing for this Falcon 9 first stage booster, which previously launched Sentinel-6 Michael Freilich, DART, and now six Starlink missions. |
