Sky High – British Jigsaw - 1975 (Original Stereo) |
|
Single Version.
A big hit in Australia (and internationally) for the then four piece U.K. group* was used as the main theme for the motion picture, ‘The Man From Hong Kong’ (first released in the U.S.A. as ‘The Dragon Flies’). The heavily produced recording, that noticeably differs to the (3.53 length) soundtrack version that played over the film’s opening credits, peaked at the #3 spot, during its national chart run of 23 weeks and was the 23rd biggest selling release of the year. Australia release: Mid 1975. Highest local chart position: #1 (Brisbane). * First formed in 1966 and should not be confused with the Melbourne based band of the same name that, in the 1970’s, saw pop chart action in Australia. |
