Jun.02 -- Franklin Templeton’s zero-tolerance policy on racism led to the swift firing of its former head of insurance investment, Amy Cooper, according to the head of its parent company. Jenny Johnson, chief executive officer of Franklin Resources Inc., says the facts were undisputed. Cooper was fired after a viral video showed her confronting an African American man in New York's Central Park who had asked her to keep her dog on a leash. Johnson spoke during a Bloomberg virtual conference.
