Recession. Everyone in finance fears it, and the US is now officially in the first recession since the great recession of 2008. Inflation is high, the stock market has crashed, and we have record high levels of debt. On top of this, many famous investors like Michael Burry, Warren Buffett, Chamath Palihapitiya, Bill Ackman, Ray Dalio have all issued warnings over a major recession and a big stock market crash.

Some believe that something worse than a recession is coming, and the economic data certainly looks scary right now, suggesting this recession could turn into an economic collapse and be worse than the great depression or the global financial crisis in 2008.
