DIY STEM Project For Kids: Skittles Experiment

video thumbnail
We usually don't recommend playing with your food, but we need to make an exception for this colorful STEM activity.

In this video, Jessie breaks down a fun DIY STEM project involving Skittles!

By using a bag of Skittles and some water, you can make some incredible designs.

Watch what happens when the water breaks down the different colors to create some fun spiraled patterns and shapes. How and why does this happen? Watch the video to find out!

Materials needed:
- Skittles
- Cup of water
- Plate
That's it!

When you’re done with this project, we’d love to see it! Send us a picture at contact@virtualbgc.org, upload to social media using #virtualbgc, or comment below!

Have fun, and don't eat too many Skittles!
