INTERESTING FACTS about worlds fastest man
Usain Bolt is a famous sprinter who holds world records in running. He's the fastest in the 100m and 200m sprints, and he's also part of the Jamaican team that holds the world record for the 4x100m relay.

Usain Bolt set the current 100m world record in 2009, where he ran incredibly fast in 9.58 seconds. During that race, he reached a top speed of 44.72 km/h in a short stretch. This was a big deal because he had already broken the world record the year before with a time of 9.72 seconds.

In 2008, he first broke the 100m world record with a time of 9.72 seconds, beating Asafa Powell's record of 9.74 seconds. In that race, he left his competitors, including Tyson Gay, who was the world champion at the time, far behind. Bolt has shown that he's the fastest man in the world.

Just a few months later, in August 2008, Bolt ran even faster at the Beijing Olympics, finishing the 100m in just 9.69 seconds and winning a gold medal. This was a new world record, and he had beaten his own record from the previous year.

At the 2009 World Championships, Bolt continued to push his record even further, making it incredibly tough for anyone to catch up.

When he retired in 2017, his time of 9.69 seconds from the 2008 Olympics was only his third-best time in the 100m. It goes to show just how fast and dominant he was in sprinting.

Usain Bolt's 200m records are just as remarkable as his achievements in the 100m. His favorite event was the 200m, and he excelled in it too.

In 2009, during the World Championships in Berlin, Bolt decided to set the 200m world record. He won the gold medal with a time of 19.19 seconds, surpassing his previous record of 19.30 seconds from the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

But claiming this record was no easy task. He had to chase down the long-standing record of 19.32 seconds set by the legendary American sprinter Michael Johnson at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. To break that record, Bolt had to improve upon his own best 200m time of 19.67 seconds by a considerable margin.

In Beijing, he did just that, shaving off 0.02 seconds from Johnson's time to win gold and set a new world record in the 200m. He went on to beat his own world record in Berlin, but the Olympic record still belongs to him from his performance in Beijing.
